The Screen

The Wacom Cintiq Pro 16 is characterised by its beautiful screen. This large screen offers stunning 4K high fidelity colour and UHD 3.840 x 2.160 resolution with an Adobe RGB colour gamut of 98% (CIE 1931). This colour vibrancy and accuracy is crucial for professionals and this is why Wacom Cintiq Pro 16 is perfect for designers and creatives of almost any discipline be it graphic design or 3D production. The screen is also optimised for use with the Wacom Pro Pen 2. Its edge-to-edge, etched glass surface offers a natural pen-on-paper feel with the perfect amount of pen-tip friction and allows for precise pen gestures and brush strokes without interference.

The Wacom Pro Pen 2

The Wacom Pro Pen 2 is all about efficiency and accuracy. It's designed to provide a responsive, natural feel to your workflow. The enhanced and precise stylus has been upgraded to have four times the accuracy when compared to previous versions, resulting in 8192 levels of pressure. In addition to this, it has 60° of tilt recognition, two customisable side buttons and importantly, it has virtually lag-free tracking. Unlike other stylus pens, the Pen 2 is battery-free. The pen uses advanced Electro-Magnetic Resonance (EMR) technology that draws power directly from your Wacom Cintiq, meaning you'll never have to charge up the pen to use it.

This tablet is designed by professionals, for professionals. Not only is it optimised for use with the likes of the Pro Pen 2 but the unit features a range of intuitive controls that allow for a streamlined, more efficient workflow. There are customisable, on-screen macro buttons, a radial menu and one-touch shortcuts. A physical multi-touch switch allows you to turn multi-touch on and off; use pan, zoom and rotate gestures in a range of applications. What’s new for this model is 8 programmable ExpressKeys that are integrated into the back of the display bezel. These have been purposely located on the back to not interfere with or reduce screen size as well as offer quick selection tools to best suit your workflow.

What are the system requirements?

To use this tablet, you’ll need to be running Windows 7, 8.1, or 10; macOS 10.14 or later. Furthermore, a USB-C port with DisplayPort Alternate Mode (UHD), or HDMI 2.0 or later (UHD) port and USB-A port. You’ll also need internet access to download drivers and future updates.

What connectivity options are there?

Wacom Cintiq Pro 16 features a USB-C port and an HDMI Graphics Input.

How do I use the integrated stand?

You can easily pop out the integrated legs to a 20° angle. There’s also an optional, separately sold detachable Wacom Adjustable Stand with 19° to 85° angle, too.

Can I mount this to a stand?

Unlike other Wacom model, the Cintiq Pro 16 new features a VESA (75 x 75) mount for optional stand and 3rd party monitor arms.
