The Neumann REK 4 electronics kit allows the electronics panel of an active loudspeaker to be located up to 30 metres away from the loudspeaker cabinet. When the loudspeaker is flush-mounted, it helps with the issues of heat dissipation while enabling easy adjustment of the controls. It is designed to complement Neumann’s extensive range of monitors.

Which all cable packs are compatible with the kit?

It is compatible with cable packs of different cable lengths such as the CP 2, CP 5, CP 10, CP 15, CP 20, CP 25, and CP 30.

Which connectors are used in the REK 4?

There are two connectors used in the kit to carry the signals. The Neutrik Speakon NLT8MP, an 8-pin connector is used to carry the driver signals, and a Neutrik etherCON NE8FBV connector is used to carry the display signals.

What is it made from?

Both the cover plate and the chassis of the REK 4 kit is made from steel and weigh up to 1.2 kg and 5 kg respectively.

How much space is required for the CP cables?

It is recommended to leave a gap of at least 12 cm behind and below the chassis for the CP cables.
