The Kaiser Vario is compatible with both singular 35 mm slides implemented directly upon the face of the device, as well as filmstrips, where the pressure plate must remain open. Also, with the addition of appropriate format masks or glass inserts, the Kaiser Vario is able to aid in the digitisation of alternative film formats to the standard 35 mm. This includes the digitisation of 4.5 x 6 cm, 6 x 6 cm, 6 x 7 cm and 6 x 9 cm film formats and the 24 x 66 mm panoramic film formats.
Ease of Use
With the inclusion of a protective overlay mat (245 x 201 mm), stray light is unable to disrupt the digitisation process. You also have the ability to manually adjust the stop pins located in the base section of the device to precisely crop various film widths, as well as four steplessly adjustable masking strips.
