Exquisite Detail In Every Shot
Detail and clarity are ensured when using this lens thanks to Canon's incredible RF lens mount that provides a consistently high-level performance throughout each and every photo taken. The mount has a built-in DLO profile (Digital Lens Optimiser) that gives you high performance and improved levels of image quality and detail. It's able to do this by using proprietary technology that takes into account all aspects of the lens and camera sensor, observing known imperfections e.g. vignetting, chromatic aberrations and then corrects it, vastly improving image quality.
5-Stop Image Stabiliser
Canon has added an image stabiliser in their RF 85mm F2 Macro IS STM. This image stabiliser can offer up to 5-stops of compensation. Not only does this combination of stabilisation technology and high-speed RF communication mean that you can experience longer shutter speeds and exposures without camera shake becoming an issue but, when used with Canon's R5 and R6 camera bodies, you will experience a whole new level of handheld shooting. You can shoot handheld portraits or macro images without fear of motion blur, resulting in a more efficient practice.
Beautiful Bokeh
The RF 85mm features a nine aperture blade system, and its wide maximum f2 aperture will let a huge amount of light pour into the lens which in turn provides you with incredible control of depth of field. It also is able to produce beautiful round and smooth bokeh in your out-of-focus areas. This control of depth of field perfectly lends itself to the lens' portraiture and macro photography capabilities.
